It is divisive because it's often used to mean any masculinity from a man.

It's often used to cope by feminine men who pretend they're weak because masculinity is toxic.

How often is often? I have never seen it used to mean all masculinity is toxic except for situations where I am dealing with radfeminazis, and they are hardly the norm when it comes to people that support "feminism," or when the term is being used to describe the "attack on men" as evidenced by several posters, including you, in this topic. Your second point doesn't make much sense to me I may need context to understand what you're talking about with that point.
