It was stated that it was outside of the universe so even if its in the same franchise, its still not set in the universe itself.
The comics already covered how the gems work. Each of the universes have their own set of gems and the MCU is one of the marvel universes. The movie gems only function in movie universe.
I don't know what you're saying. you're saying that the MCU is its own universe...but SOMEHOW the Dark Dimension, which was literally said to be outside the universe, is somehow in the same universe as the MCU universe lol
