I bet you a ton of people familar with Touhou characters have no idea the games even exist. "Touhou" and "relatively obscure" shouldn't be in the same sentence unless there's a "not" in the middle. It's a massive franchise that has been going on for 20 years and has over 20 games now, including some that have been officially licensed and localized for international audiences.
