Edit: I don't know who the tutorial guy is. >_> You'll want to grant land to vassals, but make sure you don't give away anything at an equal value to your rank. So for instance if you are a duke, don't hand out other duke-level titles or else that person will become your equal and independent. If you're a count, you should be looking to create a duchy, but you need specific counties to do that. If your demesne limit is just plain too low, look to improve your Stewardship (either take a stewardship focus, get a wife with high stewardship, or get a better steward). Your State Stewardship and rank determine your demesne limit. In general, I try to keep the provinces in one duchy for myself and keep that duchy throughout the game. --- Account created-9/10/04.
