It's not the same thing at all. It's knowing you have a gun and that's literally it. What right do you have to know that? Me personally? I don't. What's wrong with the government having that information though? They have car information already among other things. Because gun ownership shouldnt be public knowledge. The fact that I own guns shouldnt show up in my background check when I go apply for a teaching job. With the current stigma associated with firearm ownership being perpetrated by the left wed be treated like registered sex offenders.
