The answer to whether something is harmful or not lies in its long-term effects of society, and is based in statistics. Since we got overwhelmed with porn, more people are less happy and with no sense of direction in their lives, families fall apart more easily, and more children are raised by television and the internet instead of their parents. That is regrettable, and while porn is far from the only factor in it, it contributes. In short, I'm not against someone enjoying porn if it's in restraint. I know I did. And not everyone has the circumstances and determination allowing him to ditch it. But porn is an overall ill to society, and for that I take a stand against it.
