Am I the only who feels like having a campus for colleges is an outdated idea since you can easily take all of your courses on the internet, including watching recorded lectures and reading online copies of books? Once an infrastructure for online college is set up properly, I don't see any reason not to offer it for free or at least an extremely low fee.


University campuses are a lot more than just schools.

What do you think they have on campuses that students couldn't get elsewhere? Are you talking about research facilities and stuff like that?


Yes, access to research facilities. Training in actual science, etc...

I think those things are important, but why do they have to be connected to a campus?
