Jen0125 posted... i just find the whole situation ridiculous because it's fairly accepted that the bible is a book of allegories and not true facts. so people base the christian god's gender on a book that is generally accepted to not be factual and instead be metaphorical to teach moral lessons. The bible is entirely based on real events. no it's not and most historians and even biblical historians don't even believe that. The bible is written around God's teachings - the ten commandments, which includes do not lie. The bible was written by prophets and holy men, who stood out from the rest of the population. They did not lie. That's why I believe everything in the bible is true, from events to teachings, because reality gives us far more lessons than fiction. But if I said that God told me to write another book for the Bible you would not believe me Yes i would, but you'd also have to perform miracles and such and be a saint or else you would have no credibility.
