Nintendo will do what investors want them to. They're only independent in the sense that they have no oversight. They're publicly traded and must do what is most profitable for investors. If they start tanking hardcore, their IPs have way too much value to let sink on the ship with them.

Come on dude we all know topics like this get made just to satisfy the wet dreams of people who wanna see Nintendo get dismantled. Your own post relies on them failing over a long time period. They just tanked hardcore for years with the Wii U.
