Do ports from a system nobody has owned even count as ports? For 99% of Switch owners, they're brand new games

This doesn't make it any less of a bad thing. We need to remember how there is a good reason why nobody bought a Wii U, and the games had a lot to do with it.

The biggest thing was poor execution of the system(bulky, slow U.I, short range etc.) and shit advertising combined with terrible third party support,

The lack of games was partly because the system landed with a dull thud.

And the ports at least often do something to make them more appealing.

Hyrule Warriors bundles in all the content from the previous versions including the Paid DLC and adds some refinements
Pokken Tournament DX has the formerly arcade exclusive characters + a new character and other minor content
Captain Toad has new Mario Odyssey based levels and co-op
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has all the DLC packed in + Expanded battle mode, and double items

DK doesnt really add much of anything though
