Topic	It took me 14 years but I finally beat dragon maleficent in Kingdom Hearts. Dope

Your base defense is hindered due to that. I tend to pick the shield and drop the sword. Picking the shield gives you an extra armor slot and higher base defense. Dropping the sword lowers your base attack, but you do so much damage in this game regardless it doesn't really matter.
