As it stands, suicidal thoughts and suicidal ideation are not an illness. They're a symptom. Having a symptom doesn't mean you have the illness. And even if they were, so what? What if I suddenly decide I want to buy a firearm? Are you going to stop me? Is a database going to stop me? I'm not on a national list as having suicidal thoughts. Only a few people IRL close to me and CE know. I haven't been diagnosed as having, for example, clinical depression, and I've been to psychiatrists. You're not, because you don't actually care about people with mental illness. That much is obvious with your armchair diagnosis.
