This is why informed, intelligent people can't take gun grabbers seriously. Two simple facts:

Australia did not "ban guns." They instituted a buyback. There are more guns in Australia now than there were before it.

Australia's homicide rate was in decline BEFORE that gun buyback.

So no, the gun ban that wasn't a gun ban was not responsible for the falling homicide rate that was already falling. The simple fact is that Australia's never had much of a problem with gun violence to begin with.
