Lying about personal life while being in office, even if the event took place prior to election, is a shitty precedent.

If it's happened many times already, it stops being a precedent... A precedent only really applies when this is some new or rare occurrence.

Are you genuinely asking why people may care that the leader of their country is ok with lying on the record?

While I'm pleasantly amused by your naivete, do you *honestly* expect that it benefits a nation to have complete and total honesty on every issue from leaders? Politicians routinely lie about matters far more important than an affair -- ones that directly impact the American people -- where, in at least some cases, the truth may be detrimental although in most others it's simply to preserve faith in the government. When somebody lies about something minor or personal, it's nothing compared to the daily lies associated with the job. Frankly, even Jimmy Carter likely lied about something while in office.

And he wasn't punished for that. He was punished for lying under oath.

Trump is lying in the White House.

>Says objection is based on Clinton lying under oath
>Neglects the fact that Trump's denial wasn't under oath

At least they're being investigated. The walking bag of sewage known as Justin Trudeau was found to have committed four ethics violations while in office (breaking the previous record of zero) but used his parliamentary majority to vote away the investigation. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?! Even if Trump fired Mueller, there'd be consequences. Here it's an elected dictatorship if somebody gets a majority government, and we've got a guy who is as stupid as he is crazy, but in the opposite direction to America (and it's not better - extremes are bad). I can't wait until 2019 when he will almost certainly get the boot... The west never votes Liberal, and they certainly won't be making that mistake ever again. /rant

Trudeau's their guy so they're going to play the double-standard card.
