Its February 15th and weve had 30 school shootings this year. I dont like those odds and the right side of the aisle has long since taken the stance of cant prevent everything, so theres nothing to be done, so I have a hard time believing anythings gonna change...

I dont know, I feel almost irresponsible thinking about putting my kid at that kind of risk just for going to school. I know its still extremely slim odds in the grand scheme, but... 30 shootings in 45 days?

lol.... Those "school shootings" include multiple suicides (once such instance involving an adult in the parking lot of a building), the accidental discharge of a firearm, multiple incidents where nobody was hurt, etc. It's propaganda meant to hype a problem where it's not a realistic concern for anybody. Students are at a far higher risk of dying due to an alcohol-related issue than *any* kind of gun violence but nobody is talking about alcohol.

If you're worried about risking your child in a public school, the greatest threat might be the abysmally low level of education given to American students.
