They still thought the people had a right to defend themselves from the government. Now whether you wpuld still be able to is a different story. There is also the police to consider. If the police have become militarized you may not need to fight an army, but if a local sherrif gets too big for his britches there is a possibility of needing to fight off local police. --- I am awesome and so are you.
