it never ceases to amaze me how blindly oppositional @Anarchy_Juiblex is in these topics about gun control, it is so weird because he is usually pretty reasonable and has some nuance to his thinking especially about issues like this. I've mentioned it before (because he always brings it up) but I've seen him argue that the reason we don't have more 9/11 style events is that we do things as a government to stop them, which means it is a bad idea to show that lawn mowers kill more people than terrorists. but then this issue that is objectively a much bigger concern than either of those things comes up and he ceaselessly asks, why do we need to do something about it, it doesn't effect most people. But that is also true of 9/11 style terrorism, so why is it that he can see how government policies would work in that case but not in this other, much bigger case? and then he directly compares it to stuff like falling off ladders or whatever, which is just as asinine as comparing terrorism to lawn mower deaths, but he does it without irony or humorous intent.

He would make his mark, if not on this tree, then on that wall; if not with teeth and claws, then with penknife and razor.
