And she dropped that charade and embraced being redpilled, and has espoused white supremacist rhetoric. Or at least skirted such things. All in the name of profit. Her past as a progressive feminist does not absolve her of her current views that she spreads. For that matter, many of her viewpoints in the past were problematic to begin with.
Also before she was the Progressive Icon she was do video slut shaming people and such. She is all about profit.
It's too bad, because some of her thoughts about sexual health, society's attitudes about sex, the socio-economic value of feminine virginity as a unit of cultural value, navigating the sexual politics of consent to prioritize the safety of all involved, and the importance of creating a society where we can have candid conversations about sex without resorting to euphemism and judgements, these views seemed really spot on. But now you can't really use any of that without laying down a series of caveats and qualifications divorcing those ideas from her more recent work.
Granted, a lot of her things were taken from forums she used and presented in a generally easy to digest way. But the fact that she did help spread those valid and helpful conversations was nice.
But then she changed to the team that pays the most. And as you said, it does suck. Because even if she didn't come up with those ideas, it's going to be hard for any other people to rise in that place without also being guilty of major open flaws in their arguments. :/
She didn't change teams, she suggested having conversations instead of playing the "no-platform" game that just deepens divides. And the progressive side threw her in the pit. ---
