No one in anyone's right mind would voluntarily live in San Fran or New York.
Why is it threads about wealth people equate the entire country's cost of living on the two most luxuriously expensive cities in the US to troll?

Lol, it really is aggravating, isn't it? Why do people think people actually WANT to live in these places? Like, if you're making $100k, maybe you'd have the brains to realize that living in an expensive city will only rob you off your earnings. I'm pretty sure you can live pretty well with $100k in Vancouver, and Vancouver is seen as one of the best cities to live in the world, usually in the consistent top 3 for the past decade.

If you have no choice but to stay, then that sucks for you.

You're all assuming everyone can just pack up and leave without thinking about all the intangibles that go into making that major decision.

What I get from these topics is always the same.

"100k is rich."

"Not true, cost of living differs all over the country"

"If you can't afford to live in an expensive area then just move."

"But you just said 100k was rich money."

"Well of course not in major cities...just move!"

"You can't assume my job where I am will have the same pay or demand if I move. I also have family where I am."

"Suck it up."
