I'm not really a huge proponent of the theory so I may have been conflating some things. the Doom seems to refer to something else, and more recent, so it's probably unrelated. the nuclear fallout would've happened long before that, during the 'long night', which would have given more time for technological advances to be lost over time. That sounds better. scarletspeed7 posted... I'm quite curious what the Doom is. From the books I was under the impression at one point that there was some sort of flood, but I don't really remember why anymore. It's purposefully ambiguous. All we know for sure is that it happened fast, a Targaryen had visions of it happening in the future, and that is tore apart the peninsula and left it as an archipelago. --- Not changing this sig until I decide to change this sig.
