My employer provides me with both a 401k and a 403b. Between them I get a combined total of ~19% of my salary put away for retirement (10% is mine, 2% is matched and 7% is automatically given)

In addition to those I have a Fidelity account with all of my "extra" money. At the end of every month, anything left in my checking account after paying all of my bills gets moved to savings and then at the end of every 6 months I move the excess of my savings (anything over emergency fund + floating spending money) into that Fidelity account.

i hope to retire by 55.

edit: another key point of my retirement plan is to avoid having children
