I'm not sure why being blind is relevant to a forcible rape of a young minor where he knew the victim's age. Granted, this was a plea deal where he's seeking corrective treatment so... I guess the issue may be resolved? I guess if it had gone to trial the jury might have doubted his ability to commit the crime and let him walk anyway so we're seeing something out of it.

I came into this topic totally expecting an "I thought she was an adult, and I couldn't see that she was only 13 years old!" excuse. Not that I'd have probably believed it, but I was expecting him to play that angle.

Yeah, I also thought it was just an AoC issue where it could be kinda understandable rather than a "he clearly did wrong" issue.
