The Pioneers finished strong and with a balanced team in all aspects in the game, they stand to have a shot against anyone. QB Russell Wilson was the AFC Player of the Week a whopping four times, but he had just as many dud performances. He can't Blake Bortles it up because the Pioneers aren't designed to dig themselves out of huge holes.

The Bills were the anti-Dolphins. They could score a lot of points and in fact were tops in the AFC in points scored, but they didn't move the ball well. They ended up 14th in total offense. Their defense was worst in the NFL for a decent stretch, but they brought it down to 27th by the end. Those aren't great rankings, but they had the fourth-fewest giveaways in the NFL. The point of the game is to score more than your opponents do, and if the Bills score more than anyone in the AFC, who am I to argue about their chances?

The Giants really struggled in the second half, especially on offense. No team scored fewer points among playoff teams than the Giants, but the Panthers only scored eight more than them. Their tilt against the Panthers is, in my opinion, the most even-matched game from the Wild Card round, and based on talent, injuries, and recent history, the Giants might be the favorites.

The Panthers really limped into the playoffs, and the injuries are piling up. Even though Matt Ryan easily had his worst year, going from him to Chad Henne cannot be a good sign when you are facing the Giants D. The good news is that HB Reggie Bush has been great at carrying the load, and the Panthers defense did end up 3rd. It will probably be an ugly game, but the Panthers certainly can win as long as their offense isn't a complete letdown.

While I'm glad to see that the Bengals had a comeback season in the win column, they should be the overwhelming underdogs at home against the Jets despite their earlier victory over them. They haven't much consistency throughout the season and in a stronger division, they would probably be looking at a Top 10 pick. HB Erik Haw made a blistering run in the second half to fight for the rushing title, and I'm placing them next-to-last solely because of him.

Maybe injuries can be said to be a factor, but this team was never hot at any point in the season. Their best winning streak was two games, and nothing about their game really stood out at any point. I guess they have a chance against the Vikings because they're weird like that and the Vikings have never won a playoff game I think (not that that has any meaning), but you have to wonder how a team like the 49ers, who fielded a Top 10 O and D, would have done in the playoffs instead.
