A true communist state where everyone is equal, where no classes exist where there is no elite can't be achieved in real life because humans want to be better then others, we strive for competition, we want to be richer, more successful and be the elite. So communism can't work. In all seriousness, this is the major reason communism can never work. There's always going to be a group that desires more power and they eventually become little different from fascists.
