I tend to agree with you, but the weird thing is that I only have one PS4 controller and I am doing just fine. However, I have multiple controllers for all my other systems. I am sure that I will get a second PS4 controller at some point, but truth be told, I haven't had a reason to need an extra controller for the past year I have had my PS4 Slim. To be fair, the move towards online multiplayer and the sharp decline in couch co-op make it less and less necessary to own a second controller. I can see people not owning extras on newer systems, but I still have a need for them. Sometimes my wife will play Mortal Kombat with me, or my kids will play LittleBigPlanet.
