Topic	It's extremely rude to ask house guests to take their shoes off

No coworkers when they've had a thing at their homes. None. Ever. Anywhere. Have you never been to Canada, then? It's possible he hasn't done much travelling. There are cultural expectations, at least outside of the US, where not taking off your shoes when entering a home is considered very disrespectful.
