It's rude to go over to someone's house and track your dirty shoes all around their house.

Her house. Her rules.

Literally anyone in here that opposes this, you're the dick to not respect someone's house. You walk over all kind of crap, and you'd be happy to have that scoured all throughout your own house?

I'm not disputing that it's rude to not take off your shoes IF THEY ASK. But they very act of asking in the first place is rude. They're being rude first, but like you said, it's their house. You have to follow their rules or leave, even if their rule is stupid.

They're not being rude at all. It's rude to go over to someone's house and not immediately take off your shoes. No one wants to clean up shit off their floors.
