Due to its gimmick of taking characters from different genres and series, the cast has a huge variety, and the way they interact with each other is incredibly interesting. Magane and Altair are two of my favorite characters of the year, and every single one of the other Creations is good too, IMO. Obviously some are better than others, but I was never disappointed when they were on screen. The human cast isn't quite as strong, but the most important creator (Matsubara) was excellent at least, and the edgy manga creators were pretty fun too. I feel like some series underutilize their excellent casts by never having them interact with each other (Senjougahara never speaks a word to half the cast of Monogatari, for example), but thanks to the huge confrontations in RC basically everyone gets some scenes. Mamika's interactions with pretty much everyone are incredible, and make her character way more interesting than if she'd only gotten to talk to the MC and one or two others.
