the real scam is how 1920 x 1080 is advertised as "1080p/i", taking the second measurement, and now 3840 x 2160 is being advertised as "4k", taking and rounding off the larger first measurement instead, making it seem to the average, uninformed consumer that it is 4 times better than 1080p when in reality it's just twice as better.

it is 4 time the number of pixels tho

i didn't say it wasn't

You literally said that it's only twice as better, but if it has 4 times the pixels then it actually is 4 times better.

if you are using number of pixels as the measurement, which i wasn't. if you actually took the time to comprehend my post, you'd understand that i was referring to the number of horizontal lines of pixels, i.e. the second measurement in "1920 x 1080" and "3840 x 2160". 2160 being double 1080, instead of 4 times it, which one might assume should be so if they mistakenly thought the "4k" (4000) and "1080" were referring to the same measurement, which the deceptive advertising leaves ambiguous.

so it is misleading if you incorrectly understand the metrics? sureeeeeee.
