I believe studies have shown that WWE's audience come from a lower education and income background than the major sports. Though yes wrestling is not a sport, but even compared to entertainment WWE's adrate isn't that high. The audience it brings in is simply not the one advertisers want. To their credit, WWE's done a good job in recent years on that front.
