He was expected to do regular shit like go to school and only a job as a way to socialize and develop skills. His director father had no expectations of him being creative either. He simply thought that he should do better and be happier than most other people flat out due to his racial background and explicitly says so. He didn't want "girls" or "pussy" bit the adoration of his status symbol blond "angels" which would validate his whiteness(lol mixed race Asian looking hapa) and superiority over Asians and the "mud" races.
