No one hunts cats for sustenance. Cat meat is notoriously awful. And that guy hunts cougar by flushing it out and exhausting it which means even worse tasting meat.
He's a showboating asshole that unsportingly kills things for attention. When kids kill animals for fun because they like it people worry they'll grow up to be abusers or serial killers. But it's cool when a grown ass man hasn't outgrown killing things for kicks. Weird stuff.
