Topic	Star Wars Episode 8 is so hated by fans that there is a petition to erase it

You can't just buy the rights to make something canon. If Miyazaki dies and I buy the rights to Spirited Away and make Spirited Away 2 where Chihiro is now a prostitute, that's not canon. Or at least, a lot of fans would understandably not consider that actually Spirited Away 2. Disney Star Wars isn't actually Star Wars. It's basically fan fiction. 2. The Force Awakens was one of the worst movies in years. Why do people care now?
