What do you think about selling covered calls on my stocks? Say my stock is currently at $30, I was going to sell a call at $45 that expires in June. I figure I get to pocket the premium no matter what, and then even if my call hits at $45, I would sell at that point anyway because I want to divest. Seems like a win/win/win situation to me? I guess the only way I would get screwed is if the stock somehow goes up to $60 in that time?

selling calls is asking the devil to play golf with your nuts

that said nobody is short right now so you do have the potential for a nice return and reduced risk relative to a normal scenario
