Let's be serious. It makes literally no sense that Jim, who was a slacker with no perceptible skills will be successful in thr sports world. He should reasonably fail and fall back to square one. In the early seasons yeah, but he routinely showed he was good at his job as the series progressed. The one thing that was holding him back was his complete lack.of interest in the field.
