Logically, because you'll go to jail.

Morally, I can't see someone in this situation successfully convincing me that it was morally consistent for them to murder people who perform abortion but somehow what they are doing is justified. I suppose if you believe that you should be punished under the full extent of the law it's a little different.

Choosing not to prevent murder, because you'll go to jail is a terrible excuse not to do so.

There's a reason fear of punishment is on Kohlberg's lowest rung of the ladder of moral development.
