Until he does that, I wouldnt believe him. They basically just rejected his written apology. Why would he waste his time and money going to their home only to be turned away? That's a stupid thing to do in his position. Going only off of what duckbear has posted, they did not outright reject his apology. What it sounds like is they will need some time to accept his apology, which is completely understandable. And I think it would mean a lot more to actually apologize to these people in person than just write them a letter.
