The breed part only factors in when you take into consideration that pit bulls have more ability to kill people than any other breed.

In general, if you own a pit bull and raise it properly, you have a very low chance of dying. But why have any chance at all? You can instead get something like Pug and have 0% chance of dying.


Because people have preferences in companions and any chance of you being mauled by an animal that you have appropriately trained is infinitely worse for anyone that tries to harm you or your home.
