If Moore had been switched out a couple weeks back like McConnell wanted, they (likely) would've just "blindly" voted Republican again. If it makes any difference, just realize that this exact reaction is what Hillary Clinton's team had been definitively banking on in 2016. That's why you got so many exasperated reactions post-presidential election about how women were voting 'against their own' by going with Trump. Like from Michelle Obama. I think a candidacy like this kind of just reinforces how unpopular H.R.C. was - Jones was pretty much a whitewashed guy who nobody really knew anything about, in contrast, making him a pretty solid foil. --- I am I - you are you.
