Catastrophic coverage should be all some people need. Direct care providers can handle literally anything else for far cheaper. FYI I work with a guy who takes meds for Gout. Those meds cost $800 a month, but thankfully, he's insured. A few cubes away from him, a woman was recently diagnosed with Gout.
