I totally understand why the Marlins traded him,

they traded him because jeter and his money pals, can't afford it and somehow the marlins managed to get an even worse ownership than before.

Pretty much. The team they had last year, with Stanton, Ozuna, Yelich, Gordon, Bour... that was the makings of a great team. They just needed to get more pitching (RIP Jose Fernandez, still miss you) and they could have been a playoff contender. It's infuriating to see the Marlins always get so close to being a playoff team and then have a firesale and start back from the beginning. If they just continuously sucked all the time, I wouldn't be as upset as I am now. But this team keeps showing potential to be great, and the people running the team, whether it's Loria or Jeter, keep ripping it away from us because they're cheap and don't want to pay players.

I've been a Marlins fan basically all my life because I grew up in Miami. This is the 5th or 6th firesale I've seen them go through, and I stayed loyal despite that... but I think this is my breaking point. If entirely new ownership can't even break the Marlins out of their penny-pinching ways, then I don't think anything can or ever will.

Realizing this, I can't root for them anymore. It's just too depressing.
