The most important Muslim cities are Mecca and Medina. The interest in Jerusalem is primarily because they see it as an abomination that Jews are allowed to occupy the region at all. Yeah but it's important to many Christians because they need it to be destroyed to fulfill a prophacy needed for Jesus to return.
