History has always been filled with blind masses violently adjusting to changes and discoveries of a few enlightened individuals, and assuming just because they can "monkey see monkey do" they are just as civilized or intelligent as the people who were enlightened that they are now copying. And we need those people. There's lots of mediocre jobs that need to be done, and mediocre people are perfect for them.
