So move to a cheaper area. This isn't one of those "money but you can never move away" kind of deals. Alright. Lemme just sell my house that I bought less than a week ago and find a new job. These are wise decisions. Actually, you probably can't sell your house because that would constitute making money, no? Which also sort of defeats the purpose of finding a new job, as well. Well that seems even less appealing due to the large down payment I had. You can do whatever you want with the money/property you already have. I didn't specify anything against that---just no earning more from it. Whatever you get from selling your house you can keep.
