I really dont like when people take hostile actions but then again you just cant show up with a KKK outfit and not expect a reaction. For gods sake, that group has terrorized black people for decades. You cant tell people how to react. I wont react until you touch me but I cant speak for everyone else. You got to understand that just because it might not offend you deeply, doesnt mean it doesnt offend others. Thats what we want from other races to realize.

In which case, I have a steady respect for your position. The way I see it, half the fight in the battle for equality is making the case palatable for those youre trying to be equal with and the cause will only spin its wheels if we are hostile to one another. For example, I think there is a genuine discussion to be had about the nature of privilege in society, but it doesnt invoke good faith when news outlets talk about how people need to watch what you say or only listen because you dont know what its like to be [insert group here].

And peers with feminism. But not really.

Has it ever made a turn for the worst, like in the topic right now?

I agree with your first quote

And nope. I know how to diffuse the argument if it gets too serious. I really havent argued against anyone who is the complete opposite either. But like, how can anyone really argue against equals rights ?
