The way I see it, half the fight in the battle for equality is making the case palatable for those youre trying to be equal with and the cause will only spin its wheels if we are hostile to one another. For example, I think there is a genuine discussion to be had about the nature of privilege in society, but it doesnt invoke good faith when news outlets talk about how people need to watch what you say or only listen because you dont know what its like to be [insert group here].
