| Topic | why are there so many simpsons episodes set in the future? |
| Zikten 12/03/17 8:19:42 PM #3: | sometimes I wonder what it would be like if the show had just let time go by in real time, parralel to the real world. there was a comic strip like that. I can't remember the name but the characters aged in real time. it was the one where the youngest daughter was drowning and her dog gave it's life to save her....if anyone remembers that. anyway, imagine if the characters had aged from the beginning. Bart, Lisa and Maggie would all be adults. Grandpa Simpson would most surely be dead. and Mr Burns too maybe. or maybe just for a joke he would be immortal. he sortof is supposed to be anyway ...
