At least not for years. The only two people that ever got successful off these shows that I'm aware of are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Jennifer Hudson had a pretty good run as well but isn't an all-star celebrity and probably won't ever be one at this point. While a lot of them have gone on to get decent jobs / paid for their acts, none of them are household names the way other pop stars are.
