I think the show used to be genuinely good through and through in the early seasons. You weren't sure what would happen next or how the world would continue to open up. It was fresh adventure. Some of the monsters were even a bit spooky. Now it's devolved and tired, everything's explored... any and every monster is a joke, now it's purely propelled through cliche conflict and drama between characters. It's a guilty-pleasure now.
