you have to hold down the option key while you're booting the computer up for it to show the different drives you can boot from, just fyi

hold the option key until it pops up with the drives

new OS should have a built in recovery drive you should be able to try to reinstall your operating system on the mac side and see if that helps

or you can try booting to windows to see if it's actually the computer itself
