This is kind of like giving your teens concert tickets. Of course the tickets don't last, but the memory of the experience will. Obviously this can differ from kid to kid. Depending on the child, horseback riding could be amazing, or disastrous. Cooking classes are almost certainly a bad idea. Hosting a party and getting a bunch of their friends to come over and make ice cream and pizza could be a runaway hit.
